When I started working with Jeb on a plan towards my health goals, I let him know I might be a challenging client. My problem was finding a way to take care of myself in spite of all my daily responsibilities. That was the hard part. It stressed me out to put some of my needs first, before my family. Jeb encouraged me (with a deadline) to take the steps to prioritize my health and self-care. Starting with going to the doctors for my normal check-ups. It started at that moment. I learned from Jeb to be ok with taking the time to be healthy, and that it was up to me to do so. Now whenever I’m discouraged because I’m too busy to take care of my needs, I say it’s ok to take care of me and some things are just going to have to wait.
